Overview

A playlist is a beloved cultural artifact that transcends different countries, languages, and genres. However, today's playlists on platforms like YouTube and Spotify suffer from two key problems: they can easily disappear, and they often lack proper credit for the artists who created the tracks. This presentation introduces memor, a playlist streaming service that solves these issues by focusing on problem-solving and branding.

Interface Design

The interface of memor was designed to allow users to dig for music through playlists. Furthermore, it was created to seamlessly enable users to purchase their desired playlists at any time.

Packaing Design

The packaging design for Memor draws direct inspiration from the UI elements of the platform, particularly the proportional structure and curvature found in its thumbnail design. The album box mirrors the visual language of the interface and offers a cohesive and tactile extension of the digital experience. Inside the box, the user receives their purchased album along with a thank you letter and a Memor business card, reinforcing the brand’s attention to detail and commitment to meaningful user interaction.

Brand Identity

The reason we love playlists isn't just about good music; it's about the sense of space and time that a collection of songs creates. We cherish the memories tied to a specific place and time. The creator builds a certain space with a mix of music and images, and listeners grow to love that space.

I believe this emotional connection and the bond between creator and listener are rooted in nostalgia, and I’ve integrated this into the memor brand. Therefore, the key to memor's brand identity is nostalgia.
